The serenity of God’s creation made room for women to meet their grief face to face. Not alone, but with safe people standing beside them.

As I look back on camps this summer, I am proud of the work and care that made them possible. I am thankful that God uses people, like me, to do his work.

As tears fell down my new friend’s cheeks, I stepped forward and hugged her. Her heart broke with grief over the war in Ukraine and its impact on her family and community.

I wish I could say I was prepared for the day that I walked away from my baby girl as the trees swayed in the summer breeze on the front lawn of the campus at Asbury University. But I wasn’t.

I received many questions about my two-month mission internship to Budapest, and they all headed in the same direction.
